Personalisation & Design Approval Policy

Draft content. This page contains placeholder wording that is being finalised and should be reviewed before relying on it.

Draft for review before launch.

Your live preview

The live preview on our website shows how your words and chosen layout will look on your slate. It is an illustration to help you design — natural slate varies, and the final engraving may differ slightly in texture, contrast and placement.

Your proof

For every order we prepare a proof of your final engraving and send it to you, usually through WhatsApp. The proof is what we will engrave.

Approval

Nothing is engraved until you approve your proof. We record your approval, including the date and the channel you used (for example a WhatsApp message saying you approve the design).

Checking your proof

Please check every detail carefully: spellings, names, dates, numbers and any Arabic text. Once a proof is approved and engraving has started, it cannot be changed.

Changes

You can request changes to your proof before you approve it. [State how many revisions are included and whether larger design changes may affect the price.]

Arabic text

We never guess Arabic spellings of names. If you are not sure how a name is written in Arabic, tell us and we will agree the spelling with you before engraving. Please take particular care when checking Arabic text on your proof.

Fixed verses and supplications

Some designs include Qur’anic verses or supplications. These are engraved exactly as shown on your proof.

Content we cannot engrave

We may decline designs that include offensive content, content that infringes someone else’s rights (such as logos you do not have permission to use) or text that cannot be engraved legibly.
